2011 SSC Ultimate Aero II To Debut Tomorrow
Ego contests between people with funds to burn can often be fun to watch from the sideline in a TMZ kind of way. Right now the rights to the quickest quote production automobile unquote, are going back & forth between the SSC Final Aero & the Bugatti Veyron.
The Veyron had worn the crown for a lot of years with it’s 250+mph record, until the Shelby SuperCars (no relation to Carol) upped the game. When the SSC took the title the walls began to shake with the yelling that was reminiscent of those YouTube spoof video’s where people overlay subtitles from a scene in the film “Downfallâ€
Bugatti responded with the Veyron 16.4 Tremendous Sport clocking a seven way average of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph) driven by their official check driver Pierre Henri Raphanel, right after Top Gear‘s James May had gone 407kph (253mph). Now it’s time for the SSC team to reply once again.
This time the body has been redesigned by Jason Castriota, currently the new head of design at SAAB, & historicallyin the past has designed such cars as the Glickenhaus Ferrari P4/5. The automobile will be powered by a 1300 horsepower twin turbo tiny block Chevrolet based engine, with the aim of hitting 275mph.
There’s 2 videos to be checked out. The first is a leaked rendering secured by Jalopnik which is an illustration of what the automobile will look like. The second is a video of a privet unveiling seven weeks ago, that shows the invited peoples reaction to the automobile, without showing the automobile. Everyone will know more tomorrow.
