Honda CR-Z Gets HKS Makeover

Since the 2011 Honda CR-Z has been underwhelming to say the least performance-wise, tuners have been all over the little car since before it was available for public consumption. Spoon Sports has already taken a stab at the hybrid hatch, boosting horsepower, lowering suspension and making the car quicker to 60 by a full second. Now, it’s HKS’s turn. HKS has taken the car to another level with a host of suspension drivetrain and appearance upgrades.
Underneath, the car gets a driver-adjustable Hypermax II suspension, which gives it a little edge in the twisties. The new underpinnings not only stiffen the ride, but they allow the driver to lower the car by up to 37mm. Under the hood, HKS added a new intake and exhaust and remapped the ECU. We’re sure that made a world of difference, but HKS isn’t quoting any power figures just yet.
